“As a pulmonary and critical care physician I have the opportunity to make a difference in patient’s health and quality of life. The patient/physician relationship is very important to me. It is gratifying to see patients go from being critically ill to happy and healthy. Specializing in sleep medicine, pulmonary disease and critical care allows me to ensure chronically and critically ill patients receive the best quality care available to treat their underlying condition.
Bringing navigational bronchoscopy to The Christ Hospital demonstrates my strong commitment to providing the best patient care possible. Navigational bronchoscopy assists the physician in the biopsy of lung nodules (spots in the lung) that would normally be difficult to reach. This technique also allows the pulmonologist to place markers to assist radiation oncologists locate and target treatment to cancerous lesion sites. In addition, it assists thoracic surgeons in preforming minimally invasive lung resection. Specializing in sleep medicine allows me to more effectively treat patients who have both sleep and pulmonary disorders. I also specialize in Cardio Pulmonary Exercise
testing which aids in diagnosing the causes of shortness of breath when traditional Pulmonary Function and cardiac testing fail to provide enough information to determine the underlying cause of the patient’s problem.
I am committed to providing the best medical care available while developing a positive patient/physician relationship that creates an environment of care, kindness, compassion and trust.”
